Thought on blogger anonymity

Ever thought about that if you are blown up by someone, would they really tell you? Or would they just knoe and enjoy reading even more?

I seriously fear my old Mr. Advisor will find me out, not tell me and read everything...then tell it all to the chair. I'd lose my TA-ship, I'd get C's for no reason, I'd have to drop out (or sue...this is America after all..hahah) Seriously? I've played the whole thing out in my head before. it's not pretty.

I don't know what really happened with you and Mr. Advisor, but I'm quite curious. Could you post a summary? I browsed through your blog: he is a harrasser?

Here's my summary: Ex Supervisor (an absolute idiot and asshole) has been replaced by New Supervisor who is female and who is at Another Town in Another Country.

Ex Supervisor doesn't help me, he doesn't read, he keeps me off conferences, he takes away my teaching. And after 18 months of grad school and 10 pages I thought it's time for a change.

well I was looking for a post that has a general summary and there's not one that sums it up nice. There's some in March if you want to read archive that talk about it. Basically in Jan he said to me that I need to watch my step, it's not safe for me to talk to people, etc. He pulled me aside and had a long talk (at) me about this. Then he stopped responding to my e-mails. There were all these projects we were supposed to do, all this stuff for papers/conferences/TAing for him but he just won't respond to e-mails. He's lazy. He was outright rude to me numerous times.

Negelect, verbal abuse, and not keeping up with promises and all that sort of BS is why I left him. I am so far behind in submitting papers and conferences it's not funny. So thats a bit of a summary. We should definately trade longer stories some time :)
