Names

I'm looking for a name for my computer. I got him a couple of months ago and she is still unnamed.

In fact, I have named some of my plants to. A small guy with lots of tiny green leaves is called George. I don't know why, but he just looked like George.

My computer doesn't look like anything, really.

Yipp! Just found that poem on the web.... And I called My Mr Perfect today. We're going out tomorrow. Hooray!!

Sort of

I did sort of work today. I stared at my paragraph and changed a couple of words. I'll continue for half an hour. My back started hurting again.

Exercise

Hi there, if anyone drops by at my blog, I wanna know... After that huge discussion we had on writing habits, profgrrrrl mentioned she goes to the gym every day.

So I wanna know, when do you do your exercise? When is the best time of the day? I don't really have appointments or classes, so most of the time I stay at home and work on my projects. Is it a good idea to exercise in the morning? Or in the evening? Or in the middle of the working process?

Car accident

Today, I was driving along a very frequented street, when I suddenly had to brake hard. I heard a bumping noise, so I got out of the car. A motorcyclist was lying there. He didn't make it and crashed into my back.

Very Proud

MMmmh, today I received the program of the Very Small Conference, where I will give a talk. I'm SO proud of myself! I have saved all the programs of the conferences where I had a talk on my disk. I love to flip them through and think that I am not a dumb ass. While I was in high school, I did this with my school reports every now and then.

And: I have beenn working for a couple of hours. IT IS FUN!!! And I'm having more and more really great ideas. I feel like a genius. Jippiejay!

To ensure that my high-feeling will last, I'm gonna go to the movies in the next couple of days, probably on Monday or Tuesday. This has just started. It's gonna be FUN, I'm sure!

Hmm, I'm feeling better to day. At last. After that huge discussion on writing by profgrrrrl I really should start again. I have to check some references; so books, papers, copies - come to me! We'll have a hot time tonight!

I played a bit of Offenbach today. Very satisfactory.

I'm thinking of dropping over to my mom's to watch the evening movie. Or maybe I should sweep the kitchen floor. Or clean my desk. Or start another 800 pages novel.

A bad day again

I should have gone to My Department today, I need a copy of a certain article. Instead, I spent the day in bed, having the flu and the usual back pain.

Then, BitchColleague called me. I thought she wanted to chat and be friends again, but she only wanted V's phone number. She just hung up after I gave it to her. I hate her. She always talks to me as we were real friends when we see each other at My Department. But were not and I hate her for being a dishonest bitch.

I hate V too. She fucks My Mr. Perfect.

Well, just another bad day.

Geek Test

Just did the GEEK TEST. Got 25.6%. It is way better that that list which profgrrl posted. I would get even fewer points than she does, but I don't want to have experienced things like "survived an accident that I shouldn't have survived". In this respect, I love my boring life!

Pain

Why always me? I couldn't move at all for two days. My back was hurting. I really felt like dying when I had to get out of bed into the bathroom.

And now? My head aches and my nose is running.

Is this ever going to stop?!?

Bach 1007

Today I played Bach's Cello suite no 1, Prelude. I've piced up cello playing two years ago. I thought I'm gonna do this right for fun, but now I feel like I'm really going to make it. Somehow I do play the cello, I play real pieces of music! :-)

Academic Girl?

I'm only a half academic girl... I have no car, but I can talk about my thesis for hours.
